Strawberry Mint Smoothie – perfect for Wimbledon watching!

It’s steamy and hot in New York, it’s cold and damp in England. In London, ladies and gentlemen dressed in white lob tennis balls at each other. Spectators look on while eating their strawberries and cream. Wimbledon has begun. Summer is officially here.

Anyone who knows me knows I love tennis and Wimbledon signifies the ultimate start of the summer season. In honor of this important fortnight of tennis and summertime, here is a recipe for a refreshing strawberry mint smoothie.  Nice and simple and almost as good as Pimm’s, I promise!

Wimbledon Strawberry Mint Smoothie

{Strawberries are loaded in vitamin C and antioxidants}

1 cup fresh organic strawberries
1 sprig fresh mint
1 cup almond milk
1/2 frozen banana
2 scoops protein powder
2-3 ice cubes

Blend all ingredients in a blender and serve in a tall glass while watching Andy Murray come ever closer to his first Wimbledon men’s final.
